New Canadian, Saying Hello

Hey everyone,

Brand new guy here, from the Canadian East Coast. I have visited this site quite frequently lately, so I felt it was a good idea to make an account an introduce myself. I've been doing a mix a weight lifting and cardio for the past couple of years, but only recently starting taking it seriously; by that I mean with a religious meal plan and schedule. I initially went from 450lbs down to 225'ish, where I've been hovering for the past year or so, which is the reason for the more serious approach. I have already noticed an increase in strength and endurance from the meal plan and more aggressive gym schedule.

I have never done a cycle, and with my current BF% being what it is (27%), I won't be doing one for a while. My main reason for being here is to just learn as much as I can while continuing my current routine. That being said, I'm definitely open to any and all suggestions for getting my BF% lower!

Cheers!

If this trend continues, guys from the US will be outnumbered by our northern neighbors.

Welcome to Mesorx brother.

Welcome to Meso man. 450p to 225p hats off congrats on that huge achievement. Got ask how long did that take you and what was your program?
Enjoy Meso...

Welcome bro. Your in good company on meso. Great dedication loosing that much weight.

It took about 3 years to lose the weight but I didn't have a very coordinated approach. I think the main factor was completely removing fast food. I did a very basic lifting plan I found online 3x per week (Bench Press, Squats, Deadlifts, and Shoulder Press), and used an exercise bike for 30 minutes on alternating days.

Like I mentioned in my intro post, that worked for a while, but once I hit about 225 it was like a wall. Eventually I had to decide to either be happy with my current weight/body or get more serious, and I chose to get more serious.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Really liking the knowledge on the forums and the general positive attitude.

Good luck and keep at it. We all hit those walls from time to time. I was on the other end of the scale and could not pass 150 at 6". Found out after being sick for a long time I had a disease. Figured out how to get around it and Im sitting at 186 currently and still going up. You will get to where you are going. Sometimes you just have to tweak some things in your workouts/diet.
