I just noticed somebody mentioned in some discord group that there are new shipment rules for EU after July 1st. Before that it was Exempt – No VAT required for packages with value less than 22€. Sender could just write it is a gift or small value and it passed customs. Now VAT is applied to every package and customs will probably ask for declaration what is inside.

Has anybody had any experience after July 1st, is is harder for package to pass customs after July 1st if it is sent from outside EU?

In Portugal is working like that at least. Yes, now everything that comes outside EU is a pain in the ass. Customs charge at least 2€ + VAT (23% here) on every package. And at least here customs must be full as a mothafocka and things are taking a long while.

For instance, I got an order from the UK sent in Jun 26th, tracking said it only arrived in destination Country in Jul 15th which is very odd BTW, and it still is on customs. Contacted them twice and said they'll get in touch with me.

Stuff from Ali express is done too. Even if sent from an EU warehouse if the company is outside EU they still get to tax you.

Cali packs will start to scarce now Hahahah.

I am not scared of tax, the problem is that if you are ordering some substances they will probably see. They are asking for order confirmation or some other proof to see the value of order. Before that rule the package just went through if the price was declared less than 22€.

Oh ok. I wasn't even thinking in that regard.
