New Member - Just Getting into Homebrewing

I hope you had a great labor day weekend (for those in the US) and everything is going great for y'all. I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself since I'm new on the forum altogether and I am also starting to homebrew - mostly because I love chemistry and I would like to be more involved in making the things I am putting into my body (not to mention the monetary factor).

Anyway, I will be doing a ton of reading on the forum here, it looks like y'all have some awesome threads explaining some things and especially the things I will need to get started homebrewing. Looking forward to learning and networking with everyone here! Have a great day, everyone!

Hey Everyone!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I really appreciate the great information, and I definitely am happy to have seen that this search function works on this forum LOL!

I pretty much just read on other forums, but as was mentioned, it is really difficult to use the search functions on other boards because the queries are just not built correctly (I work in the Comp Sci field so I do a bit of programming/scripting/coding as well as networking, systems administration, and regular support for end users).

I am definitely just gonna be reading like crazy and I loved reading the awesome "getting started" lists of equipment to purchase for this task! I have looked at it, and since I am most likely not going to do any type of capsules (just going to pre-measure and scoop it lol That might be kinda nasty, but does anyone else do this as well? I am literally only gonna be doing this for personal use - just because I love chemistry and I love to try new things so... This is right up my alley!

Thank you all so much again! I really appreciate how welcoming and helpful everyone has been, and I will do my best to not ask any stupid questions or questions that were asked a million times already, so my apologies if I did that LOL

That is so kind of you, my friend! Sorry for not posting for so long - things have been insane at work... @Jet Labs - if you have any advice for me, sir, I would appreciate anything and everything you offer, sir!

Also, thank you all for your kind responses and welcome! I really need to get into homebrewing, I just honestly don't know the sources yet... I would love to see some reviews, but I haven't been able to find anything like that as yet. Thanks so much for all your advice! Any further advice would be most welcome!
