Hey guys, new to the community here. I posted in the new members section but wanted to post here as well since powerlifting is my passion in the gym. So a little about me. I got really into powerlifting at the beginning of 2017 and dedicated myself to it through 2019. I missed my first competition in December 2019 spending the weekend throwing up on my couch. My best lifts, gym lifts so take it with a grain of salt were 320 comp style bench, 445 squat, and 545 deadlift. The bench was an absolute max effort. The squat was held back due to my lack of strength/thickness in my upper back/lower traps. Deadlift had a lot of room left as 545 moved really well but never got the chance to max out. At the time of these lifts I weighed 222-225. I was trimming down to compete in the 220lb/100kg weight class. I have had to take a step back in 2020 due to life. Now that I have things back in order I will be getting my rhythm back and getting back with my coach. I love talking lifting and love to share experiences/throw ideas around with other lifters. Look forward to talking shop with you guys.

Haha, it took me a long time to get to that point. I’m 34 and have been working out in some form or fashion for almost 20 years. It was always very athletic style workouts never really focusing on maximal weight until 2017. I had to learn my body all over again. I completely changed my eating habits, the frequency of my workouts, and proper prehab/rehab habits to prevent my body from being broken down.

You and me sound nearly identical. Lol, close in age, wear and tear and Training history, bw, etc. So no meets for you yet? What part of the world are you in? You choose a federation for a meet yet?

No, I was supposed to do my first meet December 7 2019 at Strong Barbell Club in Kansas City. I live in Kansas so it’s a close drive for me to get there for a meet. They are affiliated with USPA so that will be the federation I compete in for a meet. I am shooting for their meet in December of 2021 to give myself time to build back to where I was. I have a feeling to hit the numbers I and shooting for, especially on squats, I’ll have to bump up to the 242 pound weight class.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I plan to start a log in March once I’m back in the groove and working with my coach again. Focused more on getting my habits and schedule established right now.

I respond really well to low doses of most compounds. For example I my last cycle, the last 3 month of 2019, I put on about 8 pounds of good solid weight on only 600mg of test a week and a 50mg per day anadrol kick start. Drol is a bit stronger than I usually go. My favorite combo is test and Tbol. I respond really well to Tbol with no sides outside of a little acne on my shoulders and back.

I’ve come to believe that most people actually respond well to low doses of AAS—the problem is that most people are impatient and want super results super fast so they’ve abused the shit out of their androgen receptors. They dont realize that, like you said, “8 lbs of solid muscle in 12 weeks” is actually really fucking fast. That results in 30 lbs a year of LBM , give or take.

-Having said that, I’m on 150 test / 200 Tren E and it has yielded stable results than when I blasted 600 test and 400 Tren, 600 EQ, because my diet is on point.

I totally agree with you on this. Yea I did a couple bigger cycles but found my results are more sustainable on lower doses. I also found that like yourself, my results are very good because my diet is right where it needs to be. My cycle I’m planning in March for the log is more than likely going to be 300mgs Test E and 100mgs NPP a week. Too many guys treat AAS like they’re a supplement. They just take whatever their source or gym friends tell them to.

Also due to a naturally occurring issue I will be in hormone treatment for the rest of my life. I say hormone treatment because my issue has effected much more than just my test levels. I got everything lined out with an endo and the got blasted by my shit insurance. Fortunately I have a good reliable source which allows me to do my regimen cheaper than going through insurance.
