New to the hood

I haven't introduced myself yet and I'm guessing I should. I'm not brand new here but new enough. I am sticking to this site because it seems to have a good base of members that care about the science and stability of the culture. It's all about the foundation under your feet.

I am a 34 year old dude. I have a family and all the wonderful stuff that brings ; ) I am a healthy person for the most part. My diet is almost always on point and I can tell when it isn't. I swear I feel worse when I eat poorly than when I have a hangover. I don't use drugs. I do drink socially a few times a month, nothing over the top generally. I feel like I am writing a dating profile haha. I have had a few decent injuries along the way. I shattered my right wrist when I was younger and have a few pieces of hardware keeping that bad boy working and my right knee... oh boy... I hyper-extended my right leg while wrestling with a friend. I ripped the anticular cartilage off my femur, tore a lot of tissue etc. Now i feel nauseous... I had to have a Carticel knee replacement and a femoral osteotomy to correct it. That was about 3.5 years ago. I just started hitting legs with any real weight.

I grew up playing town sports, in the gym maybe a little early as well. I loved running, lax, football, wrestling, baseball, basketball etc. Played it all. I never used AAS growing up. Just training, food, training, food, training, you get the idea. After the knee injury my life changed. I became very sedative, complacent almost. I basically became ok with the idea of never getting up and doing anything again. My body changed. My personality started to change as well. Life was slowly regressing into a dark hole. No more physical activity in my life was slowly killing me.

I'm not sure why but after about 2 years after the knee replacement I stopped in at a local supplement shop my friend owns. After talking with him I agreed to go to the gym and hit my upper body. He is a good motivational speaker, the visit helped : ) I stopped by a few more times over the next year picking up supps and hanging out. At some point he told me about these little pills that you let dissolve in your mouth, Steel Crushers Dymethaberry. I ended up getting a tin of these from him, which he said weren't legal to buy anymore but he had some personal stock. Well, they certainly worked very well lol. It was my first go with any type of hormone and I liked it but had no clue what I was doing. I started to read about it, other compounds like it and how they work, what they can do to you etc. I've invested quite some time into reading at this point.

Well, after all of this reading I decided that I would rather use gear than orals and called up my friend. I got everything I needed and have been on my first cycle for a short while now. Test Cyp @ 500 wk. Love it, might never come off haha. Joking there folks : )

Current stats:
34 yrs old
6'
245 #
BF % 15 approx

My main goal with this cycle would be to gain strength while loosing some body fat. I started out at 265 #. My flat bench max was 300 @ 1 rep, Deadlift max was 315 @ 1 and legs were and after thought. Now I am at 245 #. I look wicked good, so happy about that : ) My bench is just shy of 400 @ 1 rep, Deadlift is just shy of 440 @ 1 rep and I am squating now but am not going heavy at all. I just don't trust the knee yet. I will not go heavier than 315 #.

I know I will never compete in any contact sport again. I know my days of running half marathons and Tough Mudder races on Mt. Snow are over but I am gaining interest in BB. I am a competitor at heart and am always looking for something to aggressively work at. I feel I have a good foundation to sculpt from and have the resources and time to do it. Next would be the commitment huh?

Without saying more than I should in my day to day life I work with electronics, audio video and control systems. I specialize in design, engineering, programming and supporting the systems. I work on corporate boardrooms, new school build outs, office park build outs, performing arts centers, arenas etc. You name it and we work on it. If anyone ever needs advice on any of this stuff just ask. I'd love to help.

Thanks for reading ladies and gents! Sorry if this was too long...

Have you ever thought about doing a push/pull powerlifting meet? That's bench press and deadlift only. Anyway, good late intro.

I may get into it at some point. I am starting to look for a gym with more support for that type of activity. I feel like I am getting to a point of no return in my gym. I am not a huge guy by any means but in comparison to most people I am a lot bigger/thicker, especially front to back.
I just feel like I am in a different place than most people in my gym lol.

If I didn't know better I'd say you must go to my gym. It's mostly old people and high school kids at mine. If you've got other options go for it. I wish I did, but I go to the only one in town.

Welcome to Meso brother!!

Good intro. I don't think I've ever heard baseball, football, and basketball called town sports. Probably a stupid question, but what does that mean?

Sorry man. I could have used better words lol. Youth sports is a better way to say it.

Thanks for the welcome. Glad to be here!
