New York City bloodwork

Hey all,

Used to live in WA state where I could use privatemdlabs to get bloods pulled.

Now in NYC. It used to still be doable - use credit card to buy gift card, buy blood work with gift card and drive to CT.

I don't have a car though, and now there's an additional step where I need to get a prepaid credit card. So this is all becoming a PITA. Plus adding car rental and a drive to CT means it takes 4 hours and $400 to get basic bloodwork done. I can't afford that extra cost and time on a regular basis.

I'd really like to find a doctor that will order bloodwork for me, and to help me interpret it, given that I'm 'enhanced'. In other words, I'm not trying to get anything prescribed, I just want a doctor 'on my team' to help me keep healthy. My current doc warned me that he had another patient who was using creatine and had liver values in the hundreds, so I should probably not use creatine. I didn't have the heart to tell him the skyrocketed ALT was probably because the other guy was putting back more Anadrol in a day then they'd give to a fully grown cow. Not because he took 5g of creatine a day.

So... does anyone know doctors in NYC that are willing to work with chemically enhanced folks without reading them the riot act every time they chat? Again, not to prescribe anything. Just someone I can say "hey doc, I'm 4 weeks into a new cycle and I want to get my estrogen checked to make sure it's in a normal range".

Maybe that person doesn't exist....

I moved to a little north of the city from CT but kept my CT ID and work there so it's not a big deal for me. I never looked into NYC doctors but I'm sure you can find one to do what you're looking for.

Around where in NYC are you? Worst case scenario, take Metro North from Grand Central to the Washington St Station in Stamford, CT. The ride should be pretty quick and there's a quest diagnostics about 15min walking from the train (or you could grabs a taxi).

Yeah - I've gone to Stamford before. There's a LOT of hoops to jump through.

I'd really like to find a doctor I can be open with about my anabolic use, and work with them from a 'harm-reduction' perspective, instead of fully self-medicating. The things I know to look for are limited, and having a doctor to help catch issues early would be AWESOME.

Was thinking about working with one of the online clinics like titan medical, but I'd rather have an in-person doctor. Seems a little less shady.

Probably a pipe dream though.

You can find anything you want in the city. It's just a matter of looking and knowing the right ppl to point you.

Let me know if you do find a doctor like that. I am using a men's health clinic for my trt

I'm in NYC also and looking to start up a cycle soon. Planned on going the PITA route and driving to CT for pre cycle bloods but I would love to find a Dr. here in NYC too man. I might just go around to a few Dr's and feel them out until hopefully I find a guy. If I do, I will relay back to you guys. Please do the same if you find a cool Dr.

All you need is a passport.

Just speak to a few primary care physicians. You are not looking for anything unreasonable

Urgent care might be able to do what you're looking for. The few I been to (for other reasons) give off a mercenary vibe. Some have labs on grounds to draw blood and not have to send you to quest/lab corp.

The only issue, which I have no knowledge of, how it could affect your health insurance.
