Thought I’d start a thread here for people in NYC. Help each other navigate stuff like the weird laws about getting labs, laws etc.

So let’s start with getting bloodwork/labs. Anyone have advice to share?

I use Marek Health Derek from moreplatesmoredates owns or is partner in this company. A simple estrogen and testosterone check cost like $40. They email you the forum and you just go to the nearest quest location to do it. Then they email you results very easy. The site offers almost any bloodwork test you want. Highly recommend.

Have yet to find a way besides trtnation from florida, who does mailing too.

I also found that if you have good insurance and go for a physical and you have a cool doctor and you just ask for Test panel, estrogen, prolactin levels they can just add it to your bloodwork. I just did it with mine and insurance covered it no problem. That does depend on your plan of insurance and if the doctor isn't a pain in the ass asking why you want this.

Gets annoying when doctor starts challenging you as to why you need it as if I can't manage or be curious about my own health markers. I have had bad experiences with doctors like this.

Otherwise the option I mentioned above is the cheapest and easiest way of doing it, also no problems with the laws that I have ran into. Maybe elaborate more on what you mean about laws on getting bloods done.

ISo an update on this thread: I followed your advice and took my order from Marek to a Labcorp in Manhattan. They looked at me a little funny it seemed and asked me if I paid already, when I bought it but they ultimately did the thing. I paid $138 for test, free and total, estradiol, igf-1, fsh/lh, Shbg. Figure it’s good to have a baseline. My doctor doesn’t test for T during routine checkup and haven’t tested mine in a while.

Great! Glad I was able to help. Yes it can be a pain with doctors but if you want to know your test levels or if your estrogen or prolactin and other things are out of whack. Easiest is defiantly MerickHealth, simple test panel is like $25 with $5 fee.
