So I guess a simple introduction is the best kind. I’m almost 40 and morbidly obese. After two back surgeries and pretty much being stuck in a bed for the last 5yrs I decided enough is enough so I’m getting back in the gym. I’ve dabbled in this and that and tried crazy diets and fads. I have however lost over 100lbs on two different occasions and both was in two diff ways. One was starving and the other was gym and starving lol. I’m still reading through these forums and doing research so while I don’t post much I am creeping. Hope everyone is doing well and these forums are awesome. Thanks for having me!

Brother I know you've had to muster a lot of inner strength to even start coming back from a back injury. It's a long road but at 40 you can easily have that much or more life ahead of you.

Doing everything you can to improve the quality of those years will be well worth it. You'll have a new appreciation for every pain free movement and savor life to its fullest.

If you haven't found the answer to anything you need to help you make progress on this journey, just ask, plenty of us have been in your shoes and come out of it better than we were before.
