Hi guys - im just planning my next 5x5 cycle so I can go straight into it after im done with the 3x3 segment of my current one.
Im thinking of swapping some things around for interest;
mon
Squat 5x5
Dip 5Rm
Chins 5Rm
1/2 assist exercises
wed
Squat 5x5 light
DB RDL 5x5
Mil Press 5x5
Seated Row 5x5
Fri
Squat 5Rm
Dip 5x5
Chins 5x5
1/2 assist exercises
Reasons:
I like dips, but will I lose strength somewhat in BB Bench, or will there be crossover?
I want to improve chins, but another forum has hinted that balancing internal/ external rotation might be a problem in my routine; so shall I do seated row with good scapular retration mon and fri instead, as B.O row seems to be a problem with my lower back and I cant get close enough to 90 degrees as id like.
Add close grip bench on one day for tris as my assist exercise, or will they be too much to recover from
Heavy abs, whenever.
Pullthroughs to help posterior chain on 1 day.
