I can confirm two boards you're a member of will not read PMs under any circumstances.

It's a hack from vbulletin.org that allows some to do that. For me..I don't see any benefit to using them. I have seen people argue that they only use it in case of spammer/scammers.. I call bullshit on that. Most members know to inform someone (staff) if some other member sends an unsolicited PM about this source or that ..
In the admin panel, We have the ability to erase any set of PM's some scammer sends out. We can't see what they wrote, but with a click of a button, we can erase them.. So there is no need to install that hack (read PM's) . What it comes down to is trust. That means a lot to me, and I'm not breaking it for anything, let alone the mere pleasure of reading other's PM's.. It's stupid.
