Not sure about international source use.

Ok I'm pretty sure that the odds are going to be the same. But say you had a package seizure a considerable amount of time ago, say like 8 years ago. They reship it like most of them promise and bam again another stupid letter and this time of course they're not going to send it a third time. Ever since then I've been too freaked out to try another oversea source. Now before this incident had many succussfull deliveries with this guy. I don't know what exactly happened, like if he got targeted specifically or if it was because it was a p.o. box. I don't think he's had a site up for a long time, it was somewhere in eastern europe. But basically I've been asking peoples opinions if any of that makes any diff and they say no. I think a domestic source would be much better but there's so many oversea's ones. Anybody have any insight, I mean this was a long time ago and nothing ever came out of it except losing a bunch of hard earned money which is even more unacceptable now.

Why not just go with a domestic supplier? There are a few good ones out there. I hate international shipments.

It's a good question. And it's just a matter of probability. I suspect the odds of avoiding detection are generally pretty good. Better for some sources than others - some might as well write 'steroids' on the outside of the package whereas others utilize considerable creativity. So, what do experienced importers think the rate of seizure is?

Another related question is how often seizures of "personal use" quantities are prosecuted. How many people who import obvious personal use quantities have received any further contact besides a customs letter?

It's all a game of probability. I'm sure the other factors like origin of shipment, etc also come into play. Everyone wants to learn what they can do to increase the odds in their favor.
