NPP Recipe

Hey Bros! I'm new to homebrew, but not new to the game (10+ years bodybuilding). I came up with an NPP recipe and I think I calculated it correctly but just want to be sure I'm not off.

50ml NPP 100mg/ml

5g NPP powder
.5ml BA
9.5 BB
36.25 ml GSO

Any thoughts?

I thinks its ok, I suggest you using the less heat you can, maybe stayin below 60 C, and use a stirring hot plate. Dont put BA for first with the BB and powder since can evaporate and add it when everything is ok without swirl etc. Filter it with 0.22 membrane thats resistent to BB and youre done

I know absolute shit about brewing. But I will say half of the vials I get, from multiple sources, ended up crashing or separating. Not sure why it's so fragile. In multiple concentrations as well.

The powder crashes primarily because it can have too little solvent (too much concentration of powder or a very low level of Benzyl Benzoate (BB) usually. Bad stored raws, bad quality raws, not properly solubilization during process to speed it up, etc are common reasons to crash. Crash can happen because temperatures drops sometime.
@XKawN suggested to take your vial, putting a needle on rubber top to relieve pressure that will increase during heating, putting the vial on oven at 100 C for 15 minutes. I tried it and if did function. And you can do everytime it will happen. Every product coming from an UGL can be a new surprise. Choosin the right one needs time and effort. Learning to brewing too, and i prefer the 2nd one.

Shit sources everywhere man...

Exactly why I'm learning to homebrew. I've had so much garbage gear this past year. Loaded with too many solvents causing horrible PIP and swelling. Who knows if it's even filtered. Rather do it myself now and control all the variables that I can.

More broscience that persists. The BA has a boiling point of 200c (around 400f). Any one with half a brain won't even come near that. I suggest adding the BA, BB, and powder in that order, low heat until it appears dissolved/holding, then the carrier oil.

As far as the recipe,
I generally use 1% BA, 15% BB with GSO at 125 or 150mg/ml. Add more BB if necessary and carrier to reach desire concentration

The BA doesn't need to reach its boiling point to begin evaporation.

Obviously. The point is the boiling point is hundreds of degrees above the temp someone would be using and limited duration exposed to such a lesser heat..there is going to be no measurable evaporation

Bullshit things will evaporate with no heat just sitting out. Put some BA in a dish and let it sit on the counter, and it will evaporate. You do not need to boil a liquid especially alcohol for it to evaporate.
