i havent seen anything indicating this. does it upset sources? yes, but this isnt a forum where we give a fuck about the source's feeling.
@Millard can you clarify this?
I don't know what I'm supposed to clarify. These aren't MESO rules.I don't see why banning the mention of other sources in one source's thread would be beneficial to the community. Or even other sources posting in another source's thread.
Was a rationale every provided?
Sure, excessive off-topic discussion decreases the value of any given thread in the Steroid Underground where dedicated threads are intended to hold sources accountable.
-- People post off-topic messages in source threads to bury bad reviews (sometimes with explicit intent to promote the source).
-- People post off-topic messages in source threads to bury good reviews (sometimes with explicit intent to benefit their competitors).
-- People post off-topic message in sources threads because they are fanboys who live in a world where everything revolves around a particular source (often with explicit intent to selfishly benefit themselves via ingratiating and obsequious behavior)
-- But usually people post off-topic training, nutrition, pharmacology messages in source threads because they are too lazy to seek out or don't realize there are 24 other subforums where such discussions are more appropriate, more relevant, and more accessible to the larger community.
From a general forum housekeeping viewpoint, none of aforementioned behaviors are desirable. Some are obviously worse than others.
However, while discouraged, they are not prohibited in most cases.
This type of censorship required to eliminate off-topic discussions would stifle open discussion about sources.
At the same time, I think we should be suspicious of the motives of people who make a habit of posting excessive off-topic messages when it coincidentally seems to also benefit the source by burying negative feedback/reviews.
