I used to like boxing but fuck now they won't give you fights you want to see or its when they're past their prime.
I'd like to see canello vs ggg but probably not. I'm not sure I can really name any other active boxers because it's lost its appeal.

Pretty sure I saw Tyson Fury crying on TV...hard to feel sorry for a guy like him tho.
I feel sorry for youngsters that missed out on all the great boxing back in the day...Tyson, Sugar Ray, Chavez, Haggler...the list goes on. What the fuck happened???

I agree. I remember watching boxing with my pop growing up when they were gladiators.
I think with the birth of MMA and ufc more specifically combined with the mismanagement of boxing it just choked out.

Mayweather is easily the most over hyped athlete in combat sports. Old money still had sway with big entities like ESPN and other avenues of promotion. ESPN has never gave MMA the time of day any where. Being owned by Disney this is no suprise. Its still deemed too barbaric for the tastes of ESPN. Yet any Mayweather bout had hour long promos during peak hours devoted to a non heavy weight fighter. Yall never thought that was odd? Yet the UFC has equally as big of stars across multiple weight classes. Champions and past champions that get 1 hour at midnight for a little pure MMA talk. Tasteless

boxing is dead if you care about the over hype superstars fights that that the media pushs on casual fans.
i love boxing i appreciate the the science behind it.some of the best fights on seen were under card fights and amateur fights!
this is the only sport i watch and follow .i never got into mma so i cant really speak on that but i get what you saying bro

They have friday night fights still on occasion. Some times spike TV still promotes them. Or FS1. Ill catch one in occasion if their actually fighting. Also i like olympic boxing now that head gear isnt allowed. Other than that i couldnt tell you Jim from Joe. There isnt any brand recognition out there. Unless you live it breathe it i doubt you would either

they also have fights on pbc which is free tv no need for showtime or hbo.good ones to bro
I catch some of the local fights but that's about the only way I'll watch boxing. People making too much money, not willing to risk it all just want to play it safe.
