Old HGH

I was digging through my box of unused gear and found a kit of HGH, I ordered it from good lyfe back in 2020…I just pulled the order to confirm the date…so it’s been sitting in a box under my sink for about 5yrs now…no temp issues since it’s inside the house and completely dark in the box.

I’m wondering if it’s still good or if I should just toss it, I hate to toss it but since it may not be worth keeping thinking that’s the best option…thoughts?

If you're going to use it, filter it with a .22um PES filter. Then you'd minimize risk and the worst likely outcome would be that it's weak.

I thought HGH needs to be refrigerated...

All peptides degrade less when refrigerated. Depending on the peptide, how it's manufactured, and the other ingredients, it may be very fragile and degrade in days at rooms temperature, or be stable for years. There's no way to know for sure with UGL.

Eh, probably better to just toss it at this point…reconstituting and passing 3ml of liquid through a syringe filter will probably yield like a ml of liquid and just be more trouble than it’s worth.

Retention isn't very much, even with a 25mm syringe filter, and about .10ml with a 13mm, but yeah, when in doubt tossing is the safest bet. Since people will do what they're gonna do, *if* it were to be used, filtering would be better than not.

Janoshik talks about this in a youtube interview he did a few months ago. He did tests and the only way he could get it to degrade was by taping it to the outside of a car in the sun. He also said a few % per year degredation I think.

That's in large part because HPLC isn't capable of measuring the primary way rHGH degrades.

I meant to say that he said it degraded around one percent per 3 months and then taping it to the outside of a car in the sun it degraded a lot. Had to rewatch his interview.

He talks about it at around half way through.

All samples are filtered with a .22um PES syringe filter before analysis.

rHGH becomes unstable as it degrades. causing it to clump up into insoluble aggregates, which are either filtered out or if small enough to pass through the filter. get caught in the HPLC column, so they aren't detected in the analysis.

It has to be looked at using an alternative method of testing that's combined with HPLC results to accurately measure degradation.

It's good, another brother in iron has tested GH old 5+ years came 0 dimer and just slightly less purity.
