Hi everyone, I realize I should have started here before posting questions, but here we go.
I have just turned 49, and amusingly, I'm in the best shape of my life. While I did play Rugby for 30+years, the last decade have been a steady decline to a sedentary life, eventually hitting 311lbs, size 44 lbs, 3XL shirts. In January I got the health scare of my life, hospitalized for 3 weeks from a horrible lung infection. With a supportive wife, I started turning things around - first cutting sugar, then walking 3x week, then gym. I started Tirzepatide 7 months ago, Testosterone at 200mg. Today I'm at 250, size 36 jeans, L-XL shirts
. I'm going to the gym 6x week (mostly weights, some cardio), working with a trainer to keep me accountable, and eating over 250g of protein, plus sleeping well.
So, now onto the relevant part - I want more (who doesn't). I realize I may have a few more years of peak strength, and I want to see what that could look like. I've been researching HGH, Primo and Anavar as "safer" choices to preserve muscle mass, while I keep a gentle caloric deficit towards 240.
If you want to have a puerile go at my choices and offer simplified solutions, knock yourself out. But any "older and wiser" lifters willing to share their own experiences will be greatly appreciated!
