Is there anyone out there that still plays online poker for cash after the black Friday almost 10 years ago?

I am in Georgia so I had to cash out when the hammer came down when the government stepped i. A couple years before that I lost a few grand on party poker as I was incarcerated when they stopped taking american action and I wasnt able to cash out my bankroll before they absorbed it.

My bread and butter was low stakes cash tables in NL Holdem, 7 card stud, Omaha H/L and Razz when I could find a table with more than 3 people lol. But I also played mid level buy in tournaments in the evening especially the "Midnight Madness" on FT and occasionally bigger buy in tournaments like " The Sunday Millions" on PokerStars. My best cash out in a tournament was for almost $4k on a $20 buy in (cant remember the rake as it was 9 years ago) No Limit tournament during the mini series of poker on Full Tilt finishing 4th to a brutal lockout. Ive also had many decent cashes up to $2600 in a lot of tournaments on Fulltilt with a few here and there on Pokerstars. I ran much better in FT tournaments and faired better on Cash tables on PokerStars. I wa as recently checking out my stats on Cardshark and I wasn't bad. For the stakes I was playing I was definitely a consistent winner. I had my droughts but overall I ended up in the black.

I'm thinking about firing up the competitive juices again and getting back to tournament play. I don't want to do cash tables anymore cause I dont trust that enough is being done to curb collusion and to many people runnings bots and odds trackers. I think there is still enough fair play in the tournament scene to actually have fun and make a couple bucks here and there. I don't think I will be able to average a couple hundred bucks a week profit like I was able to do in the past cause players are much better overall today than they were during the boom years. I think it would be fun to get back into the groove on $10 to $100 buy in tournaments.

My problem is since I reside in a conservative state that is firmly against online gambling I cant just log on and play as if I was in Nevada or Jersey. I'd need a solid VPN and who knows what else plus I'm not sure the difficulty of cashing out in a non legal state. It was always difficult in the past, even when cashing out on the big sites like Stars and FT (even more when FT decided they were gonna start ripping people off lol).

Anyone know whos taking American action these days from banned states? Especially sites with a good history of processing cash outs? Or any good sites or downloads that have a outline of how guys like me can safely get back in the game without losing our investment due to the government or scam sites.

I really should spend more time learning about stocks trading. I would think I'd be at least "ok" when it came down to it. But alas it scares me cause I've seen some people try to trade casually with minimum effort and they only had losses to show for their effort when all was said and done.

My homie who is a damn good player says check out globalpoker. One of his pro buddies turned him onto the site and he says it's legit. Cashed out for over 1k and he isn't in Vegas or NJ. He has won a few small buy in world series of poker tournaments also but he was in Vegas for a bit while he was playing in those. He says he wouldn't risk trying to use a vpn while playing on wsop because they supposedly have crazy location software.

He says these guys let you pay with a debit card or bank transfer and will bank transfer you your winnings. Always a risk though , I suppose.

Thanks for the site suggestion I'm heading out in a little while to Best Buy. I'm looking for a good gaming laptop that I can secure and use exclusively for poker. I dont like playing poker on my personal computer for security reasons.


I can't confirm 100% but in the past I felt as though I was hacked where a certain player was able to see my whole cards. This player randomly showed up at cash tables I was on for a couple days straight and just absolutely cleaned my clock everytime we played a hand against each other. It may have been a bot but even bots lose a good deal of hands since they play by a set strategy based on odds, not this guy though, his winning hand % against me was in the high 90s. I got PokerStars involved and they did an investigation but reported back that they could find no evidence of foul play even though everyone on my club forum agreed that there was definitely something way off about the hands played and how he played them against me. After the PokerStars investigation was over I never saw that player again and he never logged back on under that ueename again while I was logged on, i checked often too cause back then you could search usernames and follow players if you just wanted to watch.

He was likely simply data mining you and the following. I used to do the same on PS back in the day. Find a player who my miner had followed for say 1000 hands over the course of a month or 2 then join his tables and use my mined data to give me a major advantage.

Not quite cheating, but it was a very nice leg up.

The best mining strategy I had was to find players from the USA who habitually played after coming back from bars and clubs. They would be mildly to wildly drunk and play very loose at certain times of the day/week. Easy money.

But even with data mining his win percentage was just way to high in my opinion. The fact that it's a game of chance should have made it about a 70% win rate give or take and that would still be monumental but this dude was taking me to task and winning at mid 90% and the minute Stars looked into it he vanished. I could just be butt hurt but I'd never been dominated so badly online, I wasnt a pro by any means but I wasnt horrible enough to get pushed around that badly lol. I always felt that something wasnt completely on the up and up with Stars due to to many one in a million moments happening on a daily basis it seemed like. I always felt their software was setup to generate rake over fair play.

I experienced the loss you speak of with poker lol. Stock trading isn’t all that different from gambling at its core. Definitely worth getting into
