Participation Rules for Sources and Source Representatives Who Market Outside MESO-Rx

Question:

Can a source or source representative participate as a regular member on MESO-Rx if they do not market on MESO, but do market on other websites or forums?

Answer:

No. Whether directly or indirectly involved in marketing, any individual who operates as a source or source representative is subject to participation restrictions on MESO-Rx — even if their marketing or promotional activity occurs entirely outside of MESO.

Policy Clarification:

The purpose of MESO-Rx’s source policy is to preserve transparency, fairness, and harm reduction. This policy applies to anyone with a commercial interest in the sale or distribution of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) — whether overtly or covertly — regardless of where they promote or operate.

This includes:

  • Sources who advertise or promote themselves on other forums, websites, social media, or private channels
  • Sources who avoid all mention of their business on MESO but are publicly identifiable as sellers elsewhere
  • Individuals acting on behalf of a source — including affiliates, promoters, reps, or customer service agents

Why This Policy Matters:

1. Avoiding Double Standards

Allowing sources who market on other forums to remain active on MESO — while banning those who were open or transparent — creates a perception of selective enforcement and undermines trust in moderation.

2. Protecting Forum Integrity

Even without direct marketing, sources and reps can still influence discussions, shape perceptions of competing labs, or promote their niche indirectly. This behavior compromises open and unbiased conversation.

3. Discouraging Covert Manipulation

The policy prevents a culture of stealth marketing, sock puppetry, or anonymous influence by commercial actors who benefit from forum visibility without transparency.

4. Supporting Harm Reduction

The community relies on clarity around who is a neutral member and who is commercially invested. Any ambiguity blurs the line between genuine advice and marketing-driven agenda.

Participation Guidelines:

If you are a source or a source representative, the following restrictions apply:
  • You may not participate as a regular member in the majority of subforums (currently 23 of 25), even if you never promote your business on MESO.
  • You must not engage in source discussions, post reviews, give product advice, or use PMs to interact with members in a commercial capacity.
  • You may request participation in the Source Zone, where permitted, and follow all labeling and conduct guidelines set by moderators.

Definition: Who Is Considered a Source Representative?

A source representative is anyone who:
  • Acts on behalf of a commercial source
  • Promotes or supports a brand in exchange for payment, products, or perks
  • Provides customer support or communicates offers/deals to buyers
  • Participates in threads with the intent to steer opinion, deflect criticism, or influence purchasing decisions related to a source

If you have insider access, financial ties, or any form of compensated relationship with a source — you are a source representative under this policy.

Final Note:

This policy is not punitive. It is designed to ensure that all participants are treated fairly, that commercial influence remains transparent, and that the forum continues to be a credible space for education, discussion, and harm reduction.

If you are unsure whether your status qualifies as a source or source representative, please contact a moderator privately for clarification.
