Pre first AAS Cycle Blood Work. High SHGB.Low Estrogen. Brutal Cholesterol. Help/Opinions Welcome

Hi everyone. Was planning on starting my first ever AAS cycle in a week or 2, but had bloods pulled and I’m now thinking I might need to put it off for at least 4+ weeks or so.

35 years old, have been maintaining weight around 153lbs(about 12-13%BF) for last 8 weeks. I’m 5’10”.

Im located in Canada and getting bloods pulled from your family physician can be like pulling teeth. Although Im surprised at what I was able to get. My doctor is younger and pretty open minded. I have a follow up phone call with him Tuesday morning and I’m going to try and get a few more markers tested:

-Free Testosterone/Bio available(should be easy with my SHBG being so high)
-Free T3/Free T4(super hard to get in Canada from your FP especially since my TSH was fine)
-IGF1
-Iron/TIBC
-Progesterone
-Also want to retake the Urinalysis because it shows diluted urine.

Anymore I should try and get?

I did some conventional conversions on a few markers for any Americans checking this out and for myself:

TSH- 2.03uIU/mL (0.45-4.50)
FSH- 6.4mIU/mL (1.5-12.4)
LH- 3.4mIU/mL (1.6-8.6)
Prolactin- 8.3ng/mL (4.0-18.0)
Cortisol- 13.1ug/dL (6.2-19.4)
Estradiol- 13.9pg/mL (7.6-42.6)
DHEAS- 383.2ug/dL (102.6-416.3)
Total Test- 611.5ng/dL (264-916)
SHBG- 70.8nmol/L (10.0-70.0 but seen other tests at 10.0-50.0!)

Triglyceride- 68.1mg/dL (<150)
Cholesterol- 305.1mg/dL (<200)
HDL- 75.8mg/dL (>or=40)
Non HDL Cholesterol- 229.3mg/dL (<130)
LDL- 219.2mg/dL (<100)

My sleep is normally pretty good(6.5-7+ hours a night) but i slept shitty the night before the blood test and only got like 5 hours max. So my natural TT is prob a bit higher and I’m 8 weeks into an OTC PCT from a mild DHT PH cycle as well. I am still happy with it considering my age and health history. My free test is probably not great cause all of the binding with the high SHBG, hopefully will get that tested ASAP.

Lipids:
At least 90% of my diet comes from doing the Vertical Diet. I have been doing this diet for the last 10 months and love it, but it's high in saturated fat and cholesterol. Maybe why some of my Lipids are so brutal? My fibre intake was 30-35g a day. I will up my fibre intake a lot. was using high fat milk(2%) and greek yogurt(2-4%), will reduce those to low fat/skim. Was eating 3-4 eggs a day and will reduce that to 1-2 eggs with egg whites. I also had a huge binge cheat night like 2 nights before the blood test like an idiot. Ate 3000+ calories in one meal on top of my normal daily maintenance calories. I know I won’t really be able to do that on AAS so was kinda like a last hurrah. Could that have effected my Lipids negatively in such a short time?

Vitamin D toxicity is from taking 4000IU’s twice a day I’m guessing. I normally would never take more than 4000IU’s a day, but bumped it up this winter for some reason. Guess i was getting more than enough in my diet and naturally through the sun. My condo faces west, near sunset I would open my large window, take my shirt off and get sun if it was out. Guess that worked pretty good lol. Have since dropped Vit D supplementation.

Don’t know how relevant this is now, but for health history long term, ive been a fatty a few times(prob 3-4) throughout the years and also have a history of alcohol/substance abuse. Ive always been able to diet back down and not stay fat for too long(6-12months), but ive been as high as 255lbs and 35%+ BF. On the drugs/alcohol front, I’ve been sober from everything but THC for almost 5 years and been sober from THC for almost 2 years. Break down as follows:
Opiates(14 years clean in April)
Tobacco(8+ years)
Cocaine/hard drugs(5+ years)
Alcohol(5 years in July)
THC(2 years in June)

I get at least 9000+ steps in a day and do some LISS on my elliptical almost everyday. Normally lift 5 days a week, but on this maintenance phase only been lifting 4 days. I’ve been training on and off since 19 years old.

My first AAS cycle is going to be low dose test E(250mg) for 16-24weeks(as long as everything goes smoothly) with the possibility of titrating up in dosage.

I would love to hear any feedback, questions or suggestions on my blood work and or what to do about shitty markers. Also when to possibly start my first AAS cycle. Thanks for reading!

For starters, congratulations on getting clean and losing all that fat, that is probably the best step to becoming healthy.

Most will say why you’re jumping on PED at that weight, but I will not judge considering your circumstances and age. However, I think you are right in holding it off until you improve your lipid values because it might become worse on cycle either because of the compound or diet changes.

It could also be because of the PH cycle you have done and needed more time to recover.

I would implement regular cardiovascular activity as well as dietary changes then retest. It also wouldn’t hurt to talk to your doctor just in case there is an underlying health issue causing the elevation.

Good luck.

Thank you for the congrats and your input.

After seeing the lipids I became so focused on thinking it was just the diet and didn't think about the PH's. These PH's seemed to be fairly mild, but I guess they can still have a great effect on lipids. Plus it's really only been 8 weeks since coming off.

I will add in more cardio on top of the dietary changes i mentioned in my OP. Also see what my doctor says about my bloodwork on Tuesday, hoping there's no underlying health issue.

Appreciate your response
