Premature Hair Loss

I have been taking 5G Androgel for about a year. I have had several unpleasant side effects including hair thinning and acne. Of the side effects, hair thinning is my biggest concern. I experienced no hair thinning prior to taking Androgel, and things have been getting progressively worse. The rate of hair thinning does not even seem to be slowing down.

What are my options? Are there hair loss products I could try? Would it be a significant benefit to try alternative HRT methods, such as injections with HCG? My endo has never done a DHT test. He requested about two dozen things during my initial sets of blood work. At present only testosterone is being monitored. Should I request a DHT test or other blood tests?

Using Androgel will drive up you DHT it did to me I went up to 3 times higher then the upper range. But my hair loss was none. You can do shots. How is your E2 Estradiol I am using Indolplex/DIM to keep mine in check. And it is lowing my DHT I went from 199 to 55 using it. I would not try any hair loss product I know to many men that have big problems for the use of them. Low T loss of sex life and so on.

Soon after starting HRT, my estradiol was normal, as were all tested measurements. Currently only testestosterone is being monitored regularly.
