Protein shake right after waking?

Should I get out of bed and immediately have a protein shake? I've read that several times. It makes sense. You've been fasting for sveral hours during sleep. Wake up, have a whey shake ready (about 35 grams) in water. Down it. Then take a shower and get ready for school/work or what not, then make breakfast.

That would be just fine.

I have heard it is a good idea to eat a couple tsp of natty pb before bed because it won't be digested as fast as say a protein shake before bed, but a shake in the monrning couldn't hurt.

Wouldnt a glas of milk, pr hot chocolate, at bedtime, be a good move, seeing as casein is slowly digested?

Things like this get into the minutia of dieting, when about 95% of people cant get basic dieting correct. Unless you are someone who makes a living at being the size of a small house, it really isnt going to make much difference at all. Casein before bed would be better than whey. WHey in milk works just fine, too. Or dont worry about it, wake up in 4 hours for a shake, and youll be even better off.
