You're right, I don't believe everything I read, that is why I posted the statement to see if anybody has ever heard of that before because it runs contrary to some of the research i've done, but thanks for the sarcastic reply, very informative
For a newbie who likes to ask questions without doing any actual research yourself, you sure have a thin skin. FYI, research isn't reading a thread on a bodybuilding board.
If you had done some research, you would have never asked such a question because you would have already known that in humans, the receptors affected by clenbuterol (the beta2-adrenergic receptors) are quickly down-regulated in the constant presence of clenbuterol. After approximately 2-3 weeks of every day clen usage, the receptors are down-regulated to the point where taking clen becomes basically useless.
To get around this problem, there are 2 ways to use clen. One is to use it for 2-3 weeks straight and then go off for an equal amount of time. The other way is to use it for 2 days on, 2 days off, repeatedly for 2-3 months. Some people claim it's effective even longer using the 2 day on/2 off method. There are other derivatives of this 2 day on/2 off program but they are the same idea and try to minimize receptor down-regulation.
Since you've never used clen before, you will need to ramp up to determine what dosage works best for you however, you can up the dosage every 3 days or so. Starting at 40mcg/day and going up by 20mcg every 3 days, within a short time you'll know where you max out. For the majority of people, it's somewhere around 80-120 mcg/day. However, there are some guys who don't like more than 60 and others who don't feel anything until 160. Clenbuterol has a half-life or roughly 34-36 hours so once a day dosing is fine.
In the future, when you actually have some experience from which to base your peak clen dosage, you'll still want to ramp up however you can do it more quickly. Also, there's no reason to ramp down as your receptors are down-regulated to the point where that doesn't make much sense. Some people have theorized that ramping down is still necessary to prevent a fat storing rebound however that's just a theory. Also, monitoring your diet is always necessary when stopping a product like clen or T3 due to the reduction in your metabolism without the artificial stimulus.
Good luck,
