Question about being sick

Ive i've been fighting some type of cold or something for the last five days. I've been taking over-the-counter medications and I'm starting to feel better. Still a little congested in my chest and my sinuses. I don't feel 100% but damn I haven't been to the gym in six days.

Is there any truth to going to the gym and "sweating it out"? I feel like I could go there and have an OK workout then knock out some cardio. Or should I just not worry about it and wait till I'm back to 100%?

Any opinions or facts are welcomed. I just hate missing that much of the gym . I feel like I lose so much even though I probably don't .

Anytime I've tried to just push threw sickness and go to the gym when really sick I feel it just delayed me getting better or made it much worse. Everyone is different might work for you, who knowso_O

Ive never found a situation or excuse good enough to fit in "cardio".
You got a damn good one though. Why fukk it up?

Finally! Hit the fucking gym today. Had to remind myself I couldn't make up a week in one day lol. Felt good but still felt a little weaker than normal. Either way glad I waited a little extra.

What I know is that the fastest way to get over illnesses biologically is to burn as little calories as possible and to eat as little as possible which is kind of counter intuitive to our goals. We want all of our bodies energy devoted to the immune system and not digestion or other things

If I'm sick but feel like I can still go to the gym than I go! If I get a good sweat and take a hot shower after I usually feel a little better too.

Make sure you have extra Vitamin C when your feeling sick.
