Questions regarding T levels too high

"Everyone knows" that if your Total Testoterone levels stay above the reference range that it can be bad for your health. I have several questions about that.

1) I know that excessive androgens can depress your HDL levels, and raise your blood pressure. Are their any other health risks?

2) If the known health risks are at normal levels, is their really any concern? No matter what the level of Total Testosterone?

3) Since the real "bang for the buck" is in the Free Testosterone, is that the true indicator of health risks? In other words, if your total is way above range, but your free is well within range, is there really a health risk? I guess the converse is a valid question; if your free is really high, but your total is within range, are you at risk?

TIA

What was you levels your Total and Free T should be in the upper 1/3 of the labs range for a young man and I mean for a young man.

Bumping this back up.

All I can get is one slightly incoherent response that doesn't even address the questions I asked?

I'm just flabbergasted! What in the world do my levels have to do with the questions I asked? I could be a female and ask the questions I asked.

TWB--You will either act like a gentleman here, or you will be gone. If you do not want to answer a good Bro's question about YOUR health, then just say so. But we do not treat each other that way here. This is your only warning.

Those of us who use hrt use its substances within guidelines. You keep gettng the questions about bloodlevels because that's our framework. Most if not all of are healthy and happy within these quidelines. Sometimes we discuss individual anomalies and bounce them around--very often with successful resolution. If you have specifics of your bloodwork, then present the data. It's the language we speak.

#1, aren't high blood pressure and bad lipid profile enough of a problem? Hrt is about health enhancement. So the question doesn't make much sense. With sound hrt, we are not trading health risks.

#2 what health risks are there? Now if all routine bood value are appropriate as per "Recipe for.....", and total test. is the only thing above norm, it may be considered acceptible by a trained doc. I've been learning about hrt for over two years, I have close to 3 thousand posts on three different hrt forums, I have attended seminars with physicans learning to do hrt, and I still do no make independent decisions on my blood values.

#3 there is no single measure of health within hrt. Free test is one of several important measures. Successful hrt occures in a matrix of values that includes free test.

I have written on this very point here many times. But I'll give an example:

As Total testosterone rises toward the top of normal range, insulin sensitivity increases. As you cross that practical ceiling, this insulin sensitivity turns into insulin resistance.
