Quick 1 Minute oats raw in a smoothie, does your body digest and use them all as if equivlant to cooked? Is you body able to process them and the carbs properly? My reason is with raw eggs for example there is digested guidlines, per se.

As its very easy to drink them raw to get my carbs up.

You should be good, I do it all the time without any added GI distress. It may take the oats a tad longer to digest, but nothing that should really impact nutrient absorption or releasing energy from the carbs.

I’ve been adding it to shakes for many years. I can’t speak to how it’s absorbed, but yes it’s an easy way to get in more carbs. I have a coffee grinder and I place the oats in there until it’s a fine powder. Only takes a few seconds. It’s mixes perfectly that way and has no clumps.

I’ve added raw cream of rice to my shake before with no issues if you’re worried about oats. I know people say to soak the oats overnight if you want to pre make shakes for the next day to be safe

I could be wrong but I believe with quick oats you don’t have to do that.

i hope so. I slapped 25g of uncooked rolled oats into my yogurt this morning with some protein powder and a smidge of water (for powder solubility).

no digestive issues so far (7hrs and counting)....
I didn’t know we have a chef in da haus. Awesome. You should start a feature here, so we get an original Penguinpiss recipe on Meso, every week. With than name, everyone will want some.

I would imagine your body will utilize the carbs the same way I doubt the glycemic index between both would matter much. I'm not sure the difference how the quick oats are made are they precooked and then freeze dried to make them "quick"? I would imagine this process me denature the carb a little bit but at the end of the day a carb is a carb.

Maybe instant oats, like the ones you used, could be digested quicker than rolled because they are finely ground? Not sure, just thinking....

You are not wrong. They are pre-treated, as are rolled oats, so they should both be OK, in terms of food safety.
Overnight ones get soft so they are easier to digest than raw rolled oats, I suppose. I quite like them, with peanut butter and stuff. Sloppy but nice.
