Is there any danger in doing max out reps of pushups or curls. What I've been doing is maxout reps for an hour a day every other day alternating both. I've been getting some decent results but just want to make sure I'm not hurting myself in the process. I'm a noob help me out!!!

Not sure what you mean by "max out reps"...what is your age and your goal? What other exercises do you perform ?

What I've been doing is everytime I lift I do as many as I can so obviously the amount of reps I do each time is usually lower. I've been doing this for an hour a day

I still dont understand the question.

So you do a maxout on sets AND reps for an entire hour?
Are you doing this for a different muscle each day of the week?

I've heard of going untill FAILURE, mneaing maybe 3 sets of an exercise and doing as many reps as you can. But never heard of failure on sets and reps for a set time.

And again how old are you and what exactly is your goal?

I'm gonna take a wild guess, is that for an hour a day you do push up's and curls till you can't do them anymore, and you keep doing that for an hour. So tons of sets till failure in one hour. I guess if that's what you got to do for exercise then do it. You'll get tired of that pretty quickly. It would be better to join a health club and do circuit training on all the machines, you'll work more body parts, increase muscular endurance, and your cardio output. That seems to be the type of training you are looking for. And to answer your question i wouldn't do max out reps myself, maybe the last exercise as push ups on my chest day, but not for an hour routine.
