Well just for thinking/theory

Diet-hormone interactions: protein/carbohydrate ratio alters reciprocally the plasma levels of testosterone and cortisol and their respective binding... - PubMed - NCBI

Not sure if this is a prof or similar but in musclecoop forum people laught of poliquin and paleos.

BTW my protein consumption is max. one dot five one dot two, if I low too much my squats are more harder, I mean one gr or minor, but one dot two is my sweet spot.

Cheers

Then you have things like this:

"In summary, consumption of comparable meals with different macronutrient contents, i.e. high-protein vs. high-carbohydrate, does not influence the physiological cortisol response and the psychological mood response differentially. In our everyday life where stress is a pervasive factor, the development of functional foods, able to regulate the stress response, would be helpful to improve or maintain quality of life, as suggested in the review by Takeda et al. [42]. Foods with the macronutrient contents used in our study seem ineffective in regulating the physiological and psychological stress response."

Influence of Consumption of a High-Protein vs. High-Carbohydrate Meal on the Physiological Cortisol and Psychological Mood Response in Men and Women

Also, clinical relevance has still yet to be shown. You're not differentiating between small/pulsatle/adaptive cortisol secretions vs large/chronic ones. The former being a good thing and the latter being bad

Maybe yor right, but IME, carbs are the key.

And like a history data, Ayurveda ( a very old million health tradition) looks carbs with good eyes.

Anyway, without the study (however, the local phenomena and graphics are there),what your point? Do you like carbs, are you a paleo? or wot?

If someone wants to eat Paleo that's their choice although It offers no benefits over any other type of diet and is laced with misinformation.

I love carbs. I eat a lot of carbs every day. I personally would never, ever do Paleo.

Course, but you talking about exercise and diet as bottom line.

Lifestyle, with "lowcarb logic" - in general terms - at least your work is physical, isnt a Good Life imho and ime.

It depends upon the person. Some people tend to do better low carb bc of insulin sensitivity issues. High carbs make them sluggish and/or sleepy. Most people are perfectly fine with moderate to high carbs. Exercise improves insulin sensitivity but with some it's not enough to overcome the sluggishness.

Course; agreed,I'm a moderate carb user. Just point out to the paleo sensationalism, you know, and then carbs are the "evil",etc.
