Starting the learning process for homebrewing. Tired of flaky sources, fakes, scam artist, etc. I am looking forward to asking questions, learning, and contributing here. Hopefully with time some senior members will be able to mentor me to becoming comfortable with homebrewing.

Thank you sensei... :)

Currently I'm in the research phase. Source checking, recipes, equipment, etc. Not asking for a source I don't mind earning my stripes and possibly PM'ing for opinions on my findings once m stripes are earned.

I have come across basekiller and have found the info great. Are there any other great sources such as basskiller you would recommend?

Welcome. There's a few guys here who are good with the home brewing(I'm not one of them). Have fun with your research. You'll like getting to know some of these guys. Good luck.

Are there PMing rules here like on other forums? I'm getting PMs from obvious LE or scams with 0 posts. I know I don't have many posts built up but I'm not an idiot.

Do not reply to any PM's, unless they are from me!!!! I kid, I kid...just be careful and learn who here is genuine...

Haha yeah I'm definitely proceeding with caution. :)

For my first brew I was thinking of TestEng. I see there isn't a common school of thought on BA/BB percentages. The common ones I'm seeing are 2/12-15 and 5/0. Based on your experiences is there any major differences?
