reducing SHBG / Danazol

I recently ran across a little tidbit on a forum about a drugged called Danazol that was supposed to be effective in reducing SHBG levels. Being someone whos total T is great, E levels great, DHT high and free test in the crapper with high normal SHBG that caught my attention.

Unfortunately I also read elsewhere that it also surpresses FSH and LH. Bummer eh..........

So I have read and read and other than tongkat ali and nettle root (neither of which give me the warm fuzzy) I dont find much on reducing SHBG. Any insight out there?

Biotest claims that their product Red Kat reduces SHBG by 30%. It does other things too. I just can't remember them. I do know the ingredient in the prod is Eurycoma longifolia. www.biotest.com or www.t-mag.com
Eurycoma is also in Alpha Male by Biotest. Alpha Male also contains Tribulus. I tried it before I tried TRT. I did before and after testosterone testing. My test went DOWN 20%!

That said, I really like some of Biotest's products. Their protein - low carb Grow has only micellar casein and Whey Isolate. The best protein supplement on the market bar none! :D

They made some real good prohormones before the ban. Before TRT I used them when I first started feeling Test deprived a few years ago. I felt very good on them.

I do like their Grow! MRP(I've been drinking it ed for 5 years). The low carb protein drink leaves an after taste in my mouth. Guess I have a sensitive palate;). I used the old spray on prohormone they sold(their first formula in fact). It got me high. Lots of energy.

I believe avena sativa-oat straw has been found to lower SHBG. You will want the extract and it can be found OTC in most healthfood/ suppl. stores.

Sorry for the off-topic post...

Their new low-carb Grow is much improved - I didn't care for the original much either. But the best part is the protein only in the new low-carb Grow! It's just micellar casein and whey protein isolate - the two best proteins known to man (or should I say the best that's available).

I think there is a tendency to to try to find a drug/supplement to treat every little thing. It is almost like looking for issues to treat. But each addition brings with it its own negative sides. Pretty soon you are just chasing your own tail.

Two days ago a guy came to me who is on about two dozen different hormone-modulating supplements. Some rocket scientist has been selling him everything under the sun. The composite of his hormonal milieu is a mess. And for all he was doing, and spending, he did not feel any better than before he started. So I started out by throwing out about half the junk he was taking. This will also save him a small fortune each year.

It is far wiser to manipulate T levels as is appropriate, control estrogen, and let the body find its equilibrium.
