Relapse... Back to basics

I applaud you for have the balls to talk about it. I am in recovery, except I really never found meeting to be helpful. That just a personal preference. I find it’s sort of like when a fat person decides that they don’t want to be fat anymore. Yes there are meetings he/she can go to and yeah there are fucking a ton of different diets, but what the fat guy/gal really needs is a lifestyle change. You have to be willing to modify the behavior. Which i guess is what the big book talks about, my issue with,”the program.” Are the fake fucking robots. The people that show up and talk like they were program to say certain things rather than be themselves. Fake people fucking piss me off. I had to find something that made me feel just as good as when registered and took the plunge. That’s was lifting weight and looking good. I better I look the better I feel. Now I am sure there are guys out there saying that’s all fine and dandy but that did work for them. Which is fine. Not saying it will. But I have been around recovery since ‘98 and my experience is that everyone can find something that is a healthy alternative to doing a fat shot of dope. Just a matter of figuring out what it is. I have buddies that skydive. I wanted something better for myself than what dope was giving me which was a nightmare. Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Not fake as In getting high, but fake as in saying the right things and doing the right things even if you feel fake saying.
Repetition makes patterns, and patterns make the transition.

As for the working out, that gives you more ammunition to fight back.
Every little success will make you stronger.
I just quit smoking weed a week ago.
I had no other reason to do it, but to do it. It was a challenge and I’m knocking the fuck out of it.
Just another success in my life.
Gives me an edge mentally in the gym.
