It's interesting that he got popped for a designer steroid that only has a 9 hour half life. He must have either found out he was gonna be tested super late, or they thought that madol wouldn't have been detected I would think.

The active half life and detection time aren't directly related or proportional. For example, oral dianabol has a short six hour half life, but detection times can extend up to 6 weeks due to the metabolites that they test for. Trenbolone acetate has a short half life of two or three days, but prior use can be detected up to 4 or 5 months later.
