Reta elevating fasting insulin

I’ve been getting some odd labwork that shows very high insulin sensitivity paired with a relatively elevated fasting insulin level.

Here’s a 75g glucose tolerance test:

You can see a very strong insulin response to the glucose challenge. I’d assume that is potentiated by GLP-1 and GIP effects but the sensitivity appears to be very good too as peak insulin levels are not very high. With high insulin sensitivity that fasting insulin of 11.9 uIU/ml stands out like a sore thumb. That should normally be a lot lower in an insulin-sensitive individual. I’m thinking glucagon effects are causing enough hepatic glucose production to push up the fasting insulin level and that a high-protein diet might be contributing to this.

It’s been like this for months, doesn’t appear to have had any negative effect on insulin sensitivity, and glycemic control with actual meals is excellent. A liter of coke could potentially cause problems though. I know that there are some studies showing catabolic suppression in this range and given my sensitivity and that I never actually fast this long, I’d wager a guess my normal fasting levels are similar to those clamp studies. Any idea if this is even a good thing or a bad thing?
