Reusable Glass Syringes

Stocking up on gear to try my first Homebrew!

I’ve come across some reusable glass syringes with a metal luer lock tip. What is your thoughts on these? Has anyone tried them?

My initial assumption is that the pressure exerted on the syringe during filtering could crack and break the syringe? I too had read up on a thread concerning glass contamination which can at times pass through a filter I reckon this could be an issue for this also if they’re made from cheap materials?

I’ll stick to plastic ones for now but it would be good to see if anyone recommends them!

If you’re going for a steampunk thing, then yeah, go for glass syringes. Otherwise, just buy cheap disposable plastic syringes.

They're not designed for the high pressures built up when a filter is connected.

You can't filter with them. But they are gtgbif you want to sterilize them in order to use them for transferring from media bottles to vials etc. I use one only for adding solvents with a long ass needle
