Scammed by gbc23.com

I went with someone's suggestion on this board and tried this supplier. They were very responsive up until they received the money. Then the excuses started coming in: package got returned, got sent to a different address, etc. It's been over one month and I still haven't received anything, and at this point, whenever I email him, he doesn't even respond. Anyone else have a bad experience with this guy?

I'm not rich so those $600 bucks were sort of a big deal for me. Anyway...really bummed about this.

That sucks. I was looking at this guy as a potential suppplier but now I think I'll stick with my regular source- A little bit more pricey, and takes a while to get here but I always get what I order.

i wouldnt take a recommendation of anyone here, its full of multiple handles and wankers like Jagger34 who incidentally has ALOT of handles and is a known scammer

mac111, this is the only forum I really trust. All the other ones seem to be scams. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. Plus, if I'm not going to trust "some chump off a forum" who am I supposed to trust? It's not like there's a publicly available and accredited list of gear suppliers.

i dont recommend any sites for the reason that retards like jagger etc jump all over it and try to take heat off themselves. ive only ever ordered from 3 places online, one was a fucking rip off and a rookie mistake many years ago.
ive been on a few forums and as far as recommendations go, i wouldnt trust any from here (or basically most forums, ive seen alot of mods with big post counts etc get banned for scamming). you're prob safe enough with the well knowns like Euroking or Naps etc , i dont know about turn around times or likelihood of customs getting it depending on where you live though.

i get via local source and have a few online for things i cant get local. i too had to take the plunge on a new one last week and thankfully it came through.
my advice is go for somewhere in your own country, theres a few decent guys on here who im sure you'll spot if you contribute to the forum rather than just come on to source and score, unfortunately if thats all you do you're easy prey for the hawks

Thanks mac. I did evaluate various suppliers before taking the plunge. And like I said earlier, I took advice from one of the guys on this forum whom I thought was "decent." Also, gbc23 claims to be a local supplier, which is one of the main reasons I decided to go with them.

I previously ordered from Qvolt and, although it took ages, the package arrived just as described. However, it was a small order and passed customs easily. I was looking for a local supplier for larger orders, to avoid customs control. Hey, anyone can get fucked over, and that is unfortunate. I started this thread to give everyone a heads up--I received some private messages after starting this thread, and apparently I wasn't the only one who got screwed.

Also, I had never ordered gear online before (Qvolt was just to "test the waters"). I used to live in a country where I could walk into any vet and ask for the best gear. Things are different in the US.

I recently ordered from another local supplier (also based on a recommendation from this forum). He's been very responsive--if all goes well, I will update.

the two i use are based in the UK and the gear gets shipped from mainland Europe or The British Virgin Isles, so you'd prob have a major turn around and a customs worry, whereas i get within 5days and customs dont give a fuck about small packages here

Its a jungle, you've got to look through the bullshit & figure out who has an agenda.
If a forum censors comments, or seems to favor certain suppliers its a bad sign.... If it allows reps to jump all over anybody who says anything negative about certain suppliers its doubly bad.

What we should do is compile a list of bullshit boards? All the boards that harbor known scammers, censor comments to protect them etc etc.

Hard to say kamala, the source I used last week is on eroids and it came off fine. Some here reckon eroids is a scam. I reckon impatient kids piss of the mods there with their whingeing and thats why the get banned etc

knew all along that gbc23 was a scam. how? because i called out this twat named subterranean gear on his website. he tried to deny association with them. then all of a sudden gbc pops up here WITH EXACTLY THE SAME LIST as subter gear's website.

Yeah Leo, I remember you calling him out and I am glad you did. I almost placed an order with that dou sche but decided against it after doing more research and messaging a bunch of people that seemed to be knowledgeable and no one had ever heard of them. Went with someone that had positive reviews and I had an awesome experience.

Leo, heard about it from Subterranean Gear, but I think they might be the same person. Just received my order from another domestic source. Took 2 days. I'm glad he delivered--now I need to check and see if the stuff is legit. I guess only time and experience will tell.

Honestly at this point I'm not ready to say e-roids is an all out bad board. I've seen some things that are pointing in that direction but I'm still somewhat neutral.

Look at Outlaw for example, they give sources there control over the threads they have on the site, and the reps openly censor those threads. Sometimes it might be legitimate, but I've seen situations like Naps not sending out anything for months and it was covered up. Or Z, he was selling faked HG for years until he finally couldn't deny it anymore, and they still let him back when they figured the dust had settled. Its the boards like this that I really have a problem with.
