So this may be an odd request for help but i work in chem plants and refineries 7 days a week/12 hours a day. I had an episode wear i became dehydrated and ended up having to go to the hospital. My research team is not running any test at this moment so that was not a factor. I live in the south and the heat is unreal and if thats not enough at any random time i may end up working next to 150+ degree pipes. Does anyone have any leads to point me to wear i can acquire 1000ml bags of 0.9% sodium chloride? Obviously this is easy to obtain in 10ml vials but this is not even close to what i need in terms of volume. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks brothers!

While I'm not sure who the fuck would even think this is a better idea than staying hydrated by drinking water, any medical supply place should sell them. Mountainside medical has them. I've ordered from them before. Their shipping was a little slow but I got my stuff

Yea its more to it than that. I build scaffolds and this summer my body has been having a hard time keeping up. I drink plenty of fluids through out the work day, a seperate company follows my crew with gatorade and water. Where the problem is ill get over heated and my stomach will become acidosis which at this point i can only sip on water before i start throwing up. Then at this point i have to go to the er and be admitted to be givin iv fluids bc its the only way i can get it in me. This is not something i am set on doin, just wanted some opinions. I really should have given all the details first post. Yea ive used mountain side before, i didnt look there but the currect sites ive been using for med supplies required an rx to obtain whole bags. I was thinking if i have an issue like this again this summer, having a bag or two in my office may not be a bad idea instead of racking up medical bills. What really need to happen is i need to pump the brakes at work but im a project hand that works plant outages so its intense at times.

Why don't you contact OSHA if your employer won't give you ample opportunity to stay hydrated during work? Is that the case or what? Find another job bro

You can sue the fuck out of them if they're literally working you to death like that. That's just fucked up and I'd say that's taking advantage of your hard work ethic. Don't let them do that.

No its me pushing too hard to get bumped up faster and its working. Ive been on nights the last two summers so im having a hard time getting re-acclimated to this heat and extremely physically demanding work. And is other things aswell im sure such as lack of sleep but i really didnt think this was such a bad idea. I mean obviously staying hydrated and not workin myself to death would be ideal but this just isnt possible at the moment on these jobs ive been assigned and the money is unbeatable. The supervision im following i have alot of leeway with them so i could slow down but i got all that leeway from being the go getter no the slow and steady.

You're right bro, i agree with u i do but its me choosing to do so to get ahead quicker (bonuses, raises, and soon a supervisor spot).

I worked in a plastic factory in the south 150 to 180 at certain times of the year with clouds/fog forming in the rafters 16hr shifts some days. Had a heat stroke twice when I worked there. Heat strokes aren't something to play with I was drinking 3 gallons of water and cup after cup of Gatorade. You don't get over it over night it takes weeks to get back to normal.

Yea bro and the thing is i came close twice and on the third time i could tell i had no choice but to go to the er and i was so dehydrated my kidneys were elevated to the point of shutting down and my heart was tacacardic. I am gona take it easy for the next few weeks. Unfortunately im not in a financial situation to be able to take off any substantial amount of time so ill just have to make due.

Thanks brothers for the feedback. Appreciate the looking out factor of this place and the sheer honesty. Im gona stay away from this idea and just try to pace myself a little better. Working 7/12s and squeezing in the gym 4-6 days a week is tough at the moment and i turn 30 this year so its not gona get easier. Thanks brothers

Drink enough water or gatorade and make sure you keep some handy at your work area.

Bro my fiancé is in rn school now. So this isnt something thats out of the realm of being safe. I just was unsure of any warnings i may need to know of if i decided to do this if i see that im getting to a point where it would just be easier and less time consuming (in terms of days needed to rest of the clock and wasting money on hospital visits) but ima put this one on the back burner.

Stay off gear till you're away from that. Don't jeopardise your health like that.
Agreed. Atleast wait till winter. Places like that are always pure hell in the summer. Yet comfortable and toasty in the winter. Stay away from AC I used to get wicked fucking cramps if I cooled down to quick:confused:

I could only imagine what that'd be like being on 500mg of tren a week. You'd die
Your right. You probably would. Best paying job I ever had...would never go back. I done roofing for awhile before that shit doesn't even compare. Being wet from the humidity and sweat and chaffing was the worst part.

I'd grab a few bags of saline solution. Nothing wrong with that. There are quite a few sites you can get them from on the net n
