I’ve recently begun prep on a homebrew of semaglutide. Vials, bac water, autoclave. Etc.
Since the dosage is so small 2-4 mg, this would require a sophisticated lab grade balance to weigh out such small quantities. In my efforts to avoid this I am searching for a supplier that can customize raws - that could put a suitable excipient which would allow for greater ease when handling the powder. Thinking 100mg to 1mg semaglutide, my research has turned up mannitol as a possible excipient agent.
However assuming I could find a supplier willing to customize the raws prior to shipping (since I’m not entirely comfortable doing it myself - I would like to avoid the chocolate chip cookie effect)
How would one go about sterilizing the powder? My understanding is heat degrades semaglutide fairly easily but from chatting with a chemist friend, he seems to think 60 degrees celius for 10 hours in a glass vial would do the trick. I’m wondering how are these peptide sellers able to sterilize their raws? Or they just slapping it in a sterilized vial and hoping when the customer add the bac water, the small amounts of BA already in the bac water kills off any possible bacteria?
Questions: is it possible to have a raw supplier add an excipient agent so the powder is ready to brew
Will my sterilization procedure be sufficient without degrading the semaglutide?
