Silk Road 2.0 Launches

On Wednesday morning, Silk Road 2.0 came online, promising a new and slightly improved version of the anonymous black market for drugs and other contraband that the Department of Justice shut down just over a month before. Like the old Silk Road, which until its closure served as the Web’s most popular bazaar for anonymous narcotics sales, the new site uses the anonymity tool Tor and the cryptocurrency Bitcoin to protect the identity of its users. As of Wednesday morning, it already sported close to 500 drug listings, ranging from marijuana to ecstasy to cocaine. It’s even being administered by a new manager using the handle the Dread Pirate Roberts, the same pseudonym adopted by the previous owner and manager of the Silk Road, allegedly the 29-year-old Ross Ulbricht arrested by the FBI in San Francisco on October 2nd.

It also has a new login page, parodying the seizure notice posted by the Department of Justice on the prior Silk Road’s homepage, with the notice “This Hidden Site Has Been Seized” replaced by the sentence “This Hidden Site Has Risen Again.”

Deposits, purchases, and some features will be disabled for the first several days until the admins are certain the site is fully ready.

It'll be interesting to see how this new site plays out.

I think it'd be cautious to wait this one out, if LE created their own SilkRoad (they certainly have the means) as a trap, with or without cooperation of anyone that went down the first time, it seems like a pretty good way to fill the void and get vendor details, if not customers. No need to be an early adopter.

Remember how that one "hacker" group LulzSec went on a rampage, only to find out one of the key members Sabu had been an informant for such a long time? They sat by and let their twitter chime off with #fuckFBIfriday the whole time, just waiting.

This silk road was developed from members of the previous Silk Road Forums. This is SR 2.0 in all forms and facet.

I find this forum to be a lot safer than Tor. At this time and moment. Mind you I am in Thailand so I don't...WTF! am I worried about?!

Well it's AAS and talk only, no direct distribution.

Now if Meso was an online crack front... then I think you'd be liking tor sites a little more. Maybe someday, MesoRock®..

Yeah...I dunno about Silk Road anymore man, they've been getting all this attention lately. Maybe I'm just a wimp but I think it's better to wait a bit before jumping up and buying shit from em'.

Ben hit this place up you out of shape fuck. You can narc this one out. Its probably ran by the DEA this time if it wasn't before.

I find it funny that its "anonymous". If its so "anonymous", how did they bust the head guy? The NSA developed all our encryption standards...

Don't know why the hype with this relaunch. All the relaunch was for is too solicit vendors back over there. No one can fund their accounts right now, and no one can buy anything. It will be a long process before it gets rolling like it was before..
And its probably being watched even more now. Don't be surprised if some new vendors are actually LE.

I would not use the new silk road.

there are other sites out there that are legit and work just as well as SR did before going down

Personally, I would be extremely leery about a "New Silk Road".
Probably the fastest road to a "Prison Cell".
Even if "Legit", you just know the FBI is watching every move.
They wont "Prosecute" you, until they have an airtight case.
So do yourself a favor and give this one a "Big Pass"

IT'S NOT WORTH THE RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I heard the original owner got whacked from using gmail of all to place a hit on someone...I think the hit never got done anyway and someone got away with 100k bitcoins on that one.The kid was a fallguy I believe and not the top fig. What is the point of ordering aas from a place you can order heroin and the like, why be involved and it seems ugl are working well here anyways. The prices at silk road were a bit high I think anyways... 80$for 10ml test e...non human grade at that.I can find prices like that local if I want to throw away money.I think I seen 5mg of ghrp6 on there for like 75-80...that's whack.

So with the sheepy scam and their site shutting down....along with BMR going on temporary hiatus....SR 2.0 is going to be your best option....I have been communicating with a variety of vendors and it seems like some will be floating over there. There are some other less known site still operating as well that are broken up into smaller markets.

well hope the prices are more fair this time around but like I said too much heat for me.

I understand the concern for heat as much as the next person, but honestly, the buyer has less to worry about IMO. If I was a vendor, I'd be worried about it. And from doing some homework on reddit, SR 2.0 seems g2g. Give it another week or two and it will be like BMR once all of the traffic from Sheep and BMR head over there.

another one worth checking in to is TorMarket
