What are opinions on doing longer breaks in between lifts and doing more or hitting it hard and quick with less sets

Depends on your goals. Mine are strength oriented, so I rest as much as I need on compound movements. Accessories I'll take shorter rests, but I don't time them or anything.

Totally depends on my goal man.

For big movements -normally- I rest a bit between sets. But of course that varies too! Sense I train more "bodybuilding style", it's normally high-ish reps with a lot of volume and low-medium rest.

Now, somedays I will hit just 6 or so reps on dead, and rest for 3 minutes. Maybe the next week I'll go for 10, superset with chin ups and only rest 1 minute.

There is no perfect answer for you.

For PLing, fast - train your CNS to explode utilising the fast muscle fiber you have. Boom!

As for rest, I go 30-60 seconds for the first sets when running pyramids. When I'm homing in on the top heaviest sets, longer breaks. I read somewhere it takes 7-8 minutes for the ATP to be topping up. I ain't got time to wait 7-8 minutes, am probably around 2-3 minutes.

As for ladies, same concept apart from the rest period. Boom! Done, throw her away, buy a new one.

As far as bodybuilding goes, in my personal experience, it's all about intensity. Very hard, intense lifting with high volume and short rest periods, trying to exhaust the muscle completely and trigger a growth response.
