Smoke while brewing?

Brewing test c using a new hot plate and I guess "low" isnt that low. Near the end of mixing the solution it began smoking a little. I quickly removed the beaker and allowed it to cool

What are the chances I just ruined this batch?

My steps
Powder in beaker
Add bb
Mix until clear
Add gso
Mix
Smoke
Remove
Continue stirring
Add ba
Sadly wait to be told its toast

Is it possible that you got oil on the plate? I've had little drops cause that, but it was from outside the beaker.

What does the gso look like? Smell like?

Test cyp melting point is about half the temp it will take to get gso to smoke, roughly. How that correlates to degradation of hormone, I don't know. Just a little bit of info.

The smoke was coming from the beaker after i moved it still

It doesn't smell abnormal and it looks normal

I don' add heat to hormone, ba, or bb. I just heat the oil. Wait 24-48 hours to see if anything crashes (cyp), if no crashing is found, reheat then filter

If ba/bb evaporates, it can throw the numbers off.

Plan to tonight just frustrating but oh well. I now have a beast of a caulk gun

Learning curves man. I've refiltered more than a few times. Better safe than sorry. I also believe that filters can have particles detach without them being comprimised, so it may not have been because of something you did incorrectly

You may want to consider getting some bottle top filters and a cheap vacuum pump off of ebay. You could get the 3cfm pump for around $50 and then get an entire case of filters depending of ml size for less than $100 or just buy some single filters until you decide if you are going to keep brewing.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking that. Forst two thought were a cigarette then thought maybe they are getting high then brewing definetly did not expect this.

Do you know how much weight is OK to apply to a syringe+filter?
Not too much, not too little
