I started ECA today took one dose at 0500 and another at 1200. I weighed in at 188lbs, 5'10, 16%bfi, and 34" waist 28yrs old. My workout today started with a 5 mile run at a 7:45 mile pace (normally under 7:00 mile but the holidays hooked me up) Then did a calisthenic circuit 30min followed by 30 min on the bike at a heart rate of 155. I noticed that my blood pressure was a little high today 137 over 71 which is high for me. Is the high blood pressure normal when on ECA? Had an apple for breakfast, protein shake for lunch, some plain tuna for dinner , and about 3 liters of water throughout the day. What do you all think, is that enough protein to save the muscle from breakdown? If I can handle the small amount of food intake is it OK? or do I need the carbs and fats for body fat loss? Tomorrow I have swimming 1500m, weight circuit, boxing, then grappling at night. I hope I fell as good tomorrow as I did today.

Are you a girl? ;) An apple, a shake and a single can of tuna all day? What's that, like, 600 calories, tops. Yeah, you're going to need to eat a lot more, bro.

I was remembering back to my old wrestling days where I had no problem eating like that for months. But day two and three I upped the intake adding 2 servings of vegetables chicken at lunch and fish at night. I fell good even with the low calories/carbs, I think its the caffeine. I have never drank coffee or soda so my tolerance to caffeine is probably low. If it is just a placebo effect to what I have read or not I definitely fell more active throughout the hole day and my appetite is gone. Day three weighed in at 183lbs, I know 99% of the loss is water in this short of time.

Are you serious? Your on the road to burn out eating that little food. Youve already lost your appetite which is not a good sign. For a start, eating an apple on its own for breakfast will spike your insulin and thats not good first thing in the morning - or ever. Also, there is no protein whatsoever for breakfast.

Breakfast is one of the most important times to have protein and yes you will lose muscle if you keep eating the way you are. The key to losing weight is a balanced diet with a little protein, a little carbs and a little fat, not just an apple. Your metabolism wont like it. Your body still needs a little bit of fat in each meal to function properly and properly metabolise your food.
