Stephan Korte's 3x3 program

I have heard good things about the 3x3 program, but it is one that I have not tried yet.

As far as getting bigger, if you get stronger you will get bigger, and this looks like a good strength program so my bet is that yes, it will add mass. I am not a firm believer in the need for a volume phase for someone who has been training for a while, but other than that I like it. I also like the idea of no assistance work, to me this is very overrated.

Well, if you just should get stronger to get bigger, then one set should be enough, right? Then Doggcrapp should be a really good program. But why do so many people recommend higher volume for hypertrophy?

I don't know where you pulled that from. The best strength athletes in the world do not train using one set. This sounds like a HITism and my head already hurts from the past 2 days at Fortified Iron discussing that (not so much from being against HIT but more because it is always the most unbelievably ignorant know it alls who parade around spewing that stuff).

For what it's worth, I've used Korte's 3x3. That thing can be nightmarish especially if you are strong in the dead because it's always last waiting for you. The program works very well but it can be brutally hard.

How were your gains on this? Im sure it will pack on mass, but when I did these types of programs, I always saw my arms and shoulders shriveling away before my eyes. Did you see the same or different results?
