Storing HCG

My endo has given me HCG, although the only type available here is pregnyl 5000iu + 1ml solution (with break off tops).. so not multi dose vials

Is it safe to store the doses in insulin srynges in the fridge until use ?

If so, how long could I store them ?

Yes it's safe - I do it all the time. I've just been using sodium chloride 0.9% injection water, but it's probably better to use bacteriostatic water which is 0.9% benzyl alchol.

As for how long it lasts, that is a good question. I'm keen to know the answer bcause I'd save a lot of money if i could change from the 1500iu to the 5000iu amps.

I use novarel hcg- that can be stored (as per the insert in comes with)- once reconstituted, in the frige for up to 60 days.

Coz, are amps all that is available to you? Perhaps your doc can arrange to get you an empty sterile vial that you could inject the mixed HCG into? Just a thought.

Yes, unfortunately that is the only HCG available in Singapore. I will look into the sterile vials (My doc doesn't seem to keen on the option though).

As another option, does anyone know of any companies/pharmacies that would ship multi-use HCG vials to singapore (with a prescritption) ?
