Strained Pec Tendon?

Hey guys, I need some help and advice. About 1-2 months ago I believe I strained my pec tendon ( or so i've been told by powerlifting friend who tore his a while back). I believe it happened when I was doing decline one day, prior to this I was really only doing high rep/low weight sets to tone my lower pec, but that day i decided to try for soem more weight. Well one thing lead to another and the weight kept on going up easy so i kept putting more on..I know i know, not smart. After that day my chest felt funny, but i didn't really think anything of it, thinking it was just soreness. After I few days I noticed that it really wasn't my pec muscle but more around my sternum, once again I didn't give it much thought, thinking I must have "bounced" the weight off of it or something and bruised it. This evolved into a pain when i do a few basic motions or combination of them. The first is if I have my arms extended out and raise them like i'm doing front raises, about 3/4 the way up it hurts. or if i have my hand in front of me like i'm praying with my my elbows out, if i push my hands together or escpecially if I push then together and down then it really hurts. It hurts along my sternum and also where my pec sort of meets my armpit, but mostly in my sternum area, but my sternum is not sensitive to touch, so I don't think its bruising. my friend told me it was my pec tendon, and to do "corner stretches" where you go in a corner a hand on both wall and stretch your chest, switching your hand placement up to stretch from different angles. that helps a bit.I've been taking it pretty easy on my chest days but I am getting anxious and want to get back into my routine. Today for the hell of it I stretched it really good doing the corner stretch then took really light DB's (45's then 50's) and went to the incline bench. When I came down with them I let them sort of push my arms down and stretch my chest, then exploded up with them, after every rep it seemed like my chest felt more stretched and more relaxed. Afterwards it felt pretty damn good. Right now its about an hour later and it hurts again. After my chest days it seriously hurts to turn a steering wheel in a car, roll over in bed, scoop ice cream at work or to do anything using a variation of those movements. I've also been icing it the past few days. I'm not sure if this was a rambling incoherent mess or if it actually makes sense to anyone besides me, but I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions for stretch's or lifts to help me get through this and strengthen my prec tendon or whatever it is i hurt. I hope I've provided ample info, if I've missed anything that would help you give me advice just lemme know.. thanks in advance for any advice you're able to give guys
