I know that for every pound of muscle you put on, you increase your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) by 30-50 calories a day, but is it possible that when you get stronger without really putting on huge size that the increase is similar?? Anyone know of any studies that examine this, because im trying to gain more strenth vx. size, and i want to know how this is gonna effect my BMR.

I would say that strenght has zero impact on BMR. I could be wrong, but logically, it just doesn't make sense. To further rain on your parade, I was reading an article by Lyle McDonald in which he states that recent studies indicate each pound of muscle only increases your BMR by a measely 6 calories a day as opposed to the previously believed 30-50.

Don't head for that chinese buffet just yet. ;)
