Usually post work out and before bed I drink a protein shake. I usually put two scoops in(44 grms protein) instead of one. I was reading on a different board that its just a waist cause your body can't absorb it all? Anyone know if there is some truth to this?

thanks

an average steak or chicken breast has this much protein, if not more, so i dont think your body has any trouble absorbing it

That's not a stupid question. Don't let any bullies around here make you think you are asking stupid questions. In fact, I would say it depends. It probably depends on your wieght, how long you been working out, if you're juicing or not, among a few other things. I'd say you are probably ok with that, especially since it's quick whey after your workout. And when you go to sleep, you aren't putting anything else in there for like 8 hours, so casien shakes with that much are fine. I actually reccomend it. I'd say the average person (bodybuilder I guess) can absorb about 35-40 grams about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. You are ok with that. Now I wouldn't take in a 100 grams at a time, lol, cuz then you'd just be wasting protein...not to mention dehydrate you and give you stomach problems haha. Good question... ;)
