Suggestions on t-cyp frequency...

WAIT A MINUTE! Are you checking E2 levels? Why are you taking Arimidex? Because you have to or you (or your doc) just think you should? Dude - you're taking Arimidex on Saturday and the next two days are your worst days? And your best days are the two days BEFORE Arimidex? Do you not see a pattern here???? It appears your estrogen may be TOO LOW!
Yes I've been getting E2 levels periodically, just not as regular as I would like. I do not have insurance and am paying out almost $500/month just in prescriptions (that do not include the Arimidex).

Quick history. I was originally taking the Arimidex on a dosing of .25 every other day. My E2 was sky high and this brought it down but it went too low and I ended up below 18. After a few weeks off of it, the doc put me back on it at .25 every 3rd day. This seemed to drive things even lower. I stopped altogether, gave my body a chance to get E2 back up. Once that was achieved I started a weekly .25 mg dosing. This was working pretty well until about two months ago. What triggered the change then, I don't know. Maybe the mix of psych drugs with this, I don't know...!

The rant switch is in the ON position...

To answer your question dude - NO, I DIDN'T SEE A PATTERN UNTIL TODAY. Isn't it pretty obvious from my replies in this thread that this is a new slant for me??? Not meaning to sound testy but come on - I asked a question, got some ideas, had someone pose the E2 levels as an issue and am trying to make the pieces fit. I am balancing a lot of medical information without a ton of support. If I knew this beforehand, I wouldn't have asked the questions.

Phil,

I agree and the suggestion of looking closer into how I'm managing (or not managing) my E2 makes sense. Are you taking Indoplex/DIM daily? I'm just making sure. The Indolplex/DIM I have is a 120 mg tablet. If that's the case then the regimen would be as follows:

Sunday: t-cyp injection, .25 Arimidex, Indolplex/DIM
Monday: .25 Arimidex, Indolplex/DIM
Tuesday: Indolplex/DIM
Wednesday: Indolplex/DIM
Thursday: Indolplex/DIM
Friday: Indolplex/DIM
Saturday: Indolplex/DIM

Does that sound about right? I'll be able to tell on the 4th because this things been like clockwork. Glad to hear you are doing well. Since I've gotten my depression treated properly I've started to see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a train :-) Thanks!

Bobby
Bobby sorry for the long time comming back to you I was on Vac. Just got back today. Your doing the high dose of T every week so I would say yes to the M-S of taking Arimidex with Indolplex/Dim but only to get your E2 down when it comes down your T levels Total and Free T should go up very high when this happens cut back on your T shots to say 150 mgs a week and stop the Arimidex just do the DIM. You will be able to tell if your E2 is down when I got mine down my ED got 80% better and after 10 yrs. I started having an orgasm again. When I switched to Indolplex/DIM I started getting rock hard morning wood. But taking one Indolplex/DIM 120 mgs. was to much and I went to low on my E2 and my morning wood stopped then my ED came back. So I stopped the DIM until my morning wood came back like 3 to 4 days then went back on the Indolplex/DIM but took half. I kept doing this until I found the right dose. Now only taking 1/4 of a pill a day.

You just do not see such immediate control, and subsequent effect, from an anti-estrogen. Guys who claim they can take a pill and have it affect them that night are imagining things.

Bobby-Take a deep breath. These guys are volunteering time from their busy days to help you, and are getting pretty good at it. I'm glad you closed your own Whining Window, though. LOL.

$500 per month? Holy smokes! TRT isn't that expensive. Someone is ripping you off.

Deep breath taken and I do apologize. I'm just chalking it up to having developed a terrible case of decreased dermis thickness. Thanks for the input...

As for the $500, it includes a wonderful cocktail of psych drugs that has got me back to work. The biggest component of the bunch is 375 mg of Effexor of which two 150 mg capsules daily run me around $200+/month. I'm getting a vial of t-cyp (UpJohn) for around $112 and it lasts me more then a month. Add to that Metadate, Remeron and prerequisite blood-pressure drugs and five c-notes goes away fast  . Yet if I'm able to work I can generate that in a few hours.

Note to Phil: Thanks for the info. In the interim I dropped the weekly Arimidex and the last two Monday's have been night-and-day different. Thus I will contritely express my apologies to the "dude" greatgro. Balancing this E2 stuff is tricky. Looks like it's off to the doc for some blood tests and get this monitored a little closer.

Thanks all...!

Good Idea I try to tell men to get tested for high E2 every 4 weeks you just can't tell if your to low or to high. When I get like this I stop taking meds to lower my E2 until I have a test done. SWALE who said they feel better or worse just taking one DIM.
