Hey Guys, I need some suggestions.

I will be 39 years old in November, I am 5ft 7 inches tall
My body fat would be I guess between 11 to 14 percent.
My weight is at 208pds, but i still have some of my guns from when I was younger, as i used to work out 6 days a week for a year.
I did do 1 cycle about 8 years ago, but every one tells me that i have a perfect body for bodybuilding, as i am recently divorced, I want to have my body tuned up and be able to do what I have always loved!!!!!, damn wife made me quit 8 years ago....

Any suggestions on where to start, As I have been out of the sport for 8yrs.
Like I said I do have a little gut, but arms are thick, legs are thick and back is thick, not fat just still defined, as people still ask if I workout, lol, so I am excited on what I could be if I did.

Thanks guys

My Mrs tried that with me too,and I almost fell for it,in the end I told her if she didn't like it,hit the road.........that sorted her out.

Any suggestions on where to start, As I have been out of the sport for 8yrs.

You need to start with a lean up and conditioning routine and diet, before stepping up to a typical bodybuilding routine and diet.
congrats on getting rid of the Mrs;)
What did you learn?

I would suggest the 5X5, as can be found in the stickies at the top of the page. Not to sound like a zealot or a broken record, but, honestly, the routine works wonderfully. If you elect not to do that, then what I suggest is a workout based on squats, deadlifts, rows, benches, chins and overhead presses. Seriously, leave "islotaion" and "shaping" movements the fuck alone! No doubt!

I would bet your body fat is much higher than you think. 11% is very lean and at 5'7'' and 208 you would be massive at 11%.

As for training, you are not 20 anymore so I would say away from very heavy lifting, reps in the 8-12 range are ok ( 10-15 might be better) . I would also do no or very little failure training esp the first few months.

Just do a basic push/leg/pull routine.
