Surgery to improve breathing

Anyone had surgery to improve the way you breathe? Both of my nostrils are pretty stopped up almost all the time. I snore really bad and I never feel well rested. I had a sleep study a while back and they said I didn't have apnea but I never hit deep sleep. I have woken up on occasion struggling to breathe. I have an appointment with an ENT on Monday and I was hoping someone here could relate and maybe tell me what to expect and if there is any hope for improvement.

I've heard of this being done before on a friend. It will greatly change things for you, that's almost a guarantee.

I really hope so. I'll find out tomorrow morning if the doc agrees with you. What did your friend have to say about it?

The friend had a reconstructive surgery that cleared his airways. For him it was so bad if they couldn't fix it, he was possibly running the risk of death.
