Syringe filters

For a simple mct, ba and bb brew what kind of syringe filters can be used?

I like the nylon material, but the ones i get are all sold out. But there is pvdf or pes or pfte.

Are these other ones ok to use when brewing with oil, ba and bb. I know some filters cant withstand certain chemicals.

I was ordering 33mm PVDF filters, but for some reason I cannot find them anymore. PVDF, from what I have seen, is generally recommended even over the others, but I cannot find them larger than 25mm now, and diameter makes a pretty big difference with flow rate

Ok cool, pvdf seems to be easier to find then nylon too. So you use pvdf without issue for brewing ba, bb, oil ?

I remember maybe pvdf doesnt work with water?

I am not sure about water based products, but yes, all of my brews have been hormone, BA, BB, and MCT, and I have only ever used PVDF filters.

You can use PVDF wirh no problem... pvdf works as they should... even with stronger solvents.

Ebay bro! And pre-filter.You can get 100 0.8 micron nylon, and sometimes PVDF non sterilized for $40/100. Just prefilter the hormone'/solvent mix and using a veterinary syringe you can find at TSA (tractor services of America) or Rural King, Ebay probably as well and using a 0.2 micrron filter is easy. In all honesty if you don't have a sterile 0.2 micron filter I don't think it is putting you in mortal jeopardy. Here's why. I've used Zap Caps (Nylon) forr years into a sterile glass (autoclaved) vessel and nobody ever had a problem. They make 'sterile' zap caps but they are cellulose acetate.If someone insisted on sterile find a Foxx PES 1,000 ml filter top. I use them as an example. They make Nylon filter caps and they suck dog balls. If one does this a lot just buy 0.2 micron Nylon or PVDF membranes (90mm) and put it on top of the PES (sieve) and this is assuming someone can spring for a 1/4 hp 1 stage vac pump on eBay for $50 and you are home free.
