I just want to come out and say that this is so far just a thought and an idea I wanted to put out there from discussion. I do not know enough about the potential sides of dantrolene to assert that this is in any way a safe or smart thing to do. So treat this as a purely academic musing.
I've been doing some reading, it's mentioned numerous times how dantrolene has been incredibly effective at heading off acute dnp over dosing.
'By inhibiting calcium release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum, dantrolene reduces intracellular calcium. This is thought to help to facilitate heat dissipation in uncontrolled DNP-related hyperthermia. ' One of the factors in heat of dnp is the increase contractions brought about by elevated calcium.
Now, theoretically, could one run a higher dose of dnp whilst taking dantrolene for dnp cycles. Would doing this reduce DNP's efficiency? I don't think so, the DNP is still acting on the ATP, just preventing on the heating mechanisms - calcium incduced contractions - from occurring.
So this could mean standard doses could be run with even less sides with the same benefit. OR this means the envelope could be pushed harder with doses of dnp whilst keeping side effects bearable.
Could you imagine taking a gram of dnp for 10 days and feeling like it's half the dose?
Just a thought, I will keep reading and putting together more info, I was never one to read too much into the science of things, but I guess I ought to if I'm going to fuck around with this shit. As I've said, this is just an idea. I know dnp is amazing as it is and looking for ways to make it even more efficient is just getting greedy.
Thanks.
